The Chapter started this semester off on a successful fall recruitment season by adding five new members to the brotherhood. This pledge class was a welcome surprise due to the chapter's dwindling numbers the last two years. Despite the obstacles and past struggles the chapter has managed to survive being on probation with the University, and the covid-19 pandemic. Probation made recruitment specifically difficult for Beta Tau, but the pandemic also affected all of Valpo Greek Life due to recruitment being entirely virtual. The success in the fall spring-boarded them to add an additional seven new members this spring semester. Although that number is not close to our ideal, the chapter has managed to double its size, and turn around the Chapter's approach to recruitment. I look forward to working with the new members, and the rest of the chapter, in furthering the growth of the chapter over the upcoming year. Thank you to the alumni who have dedicated their time to Beta Tau, and a special thanks to the active members running the chapter. Y'all have been awesome.
